The Andaman & Nicobar Islands are India’s most extraordinary natural secret — a chain of 572 tropical islands at the edge of the Bay of Bengal, where the jungle meets the coral reef and the sea is so clear you can read the depth in the colour of the water. An Andaman holiday is unlike anything else available in India — and our Andaman Island Hopper — 5 Nights 6 Days — is the definitive way to experience it.
Start in Port Blair with the sobering history of the Cellular Jail — a powerful reminder of the price of India’s freedom. Then island hop to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), home to the globally celebrated Radhanagar Beach and some of India’s finest scuba diving sites. Snorkel the extraordinary reef at Elephant Beach. And end on the quieter, more intimate Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep), cycling past paddy fields to natural rock arches at low tide.
This Andaman tour package from any Indian city covers all three main islands by ferry, includes scuba diving, snorkelling, glass-bottom boat, Cellular Jail, and carefully selected beachside resorts — making it the most comprehensive and best-value Andaman holiday package available. No passport, no foreign currency, no visa — just India at its most tropical and spectacular.
Arrive at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair. Transfer to your hotel in the island capital. After check-in, visit the Cellular Jail — the colonial-era prison built by the British to exile India's freedom fighters to the remote Andamans. Walk its corridors and solitary cells in silence, feeling the weight of history. In the evening, attend the Cellular Jail Light and Sound Show — a powerful dramatisation of the brutal conditions endured by India's independence movement heroes. Overnight in Port Blair.
After breakfast, take a morning island tour: Ross Island (former British administrative headquarters, now a UNESCO-listed ruin reclaimed by jungle and spotted deer), North Bay Island for snorkelling over colourful coral gardens (glass-bottom boat also available), and Corbyn's Cove for a sunset beach walk. In the evening, board the overnight or afternoon ferry to Havelock Island (Neil Ranka) — approx. 2 hrs. Overnight in Havelock.
Havelock Island is the Andaman's crown jewel. Begin the day with your first scuba diving experience — the Andaman Sea has some of the best beginner-dive sites in India with excellent visibility, gentle currents, and extraordinary marine life. After lunch, head to Radhanagar Beach (Beach No. 7) — consistently rated Asia's best beach by Time Magazine, with emerald water, fine white sand, jungle-backed shore, and a sunset that reduces grown adults to silence. Overnight in Havelock.
Morning visit to Elephant Beach by speedboat (30 mins) — the finest snorkelling site in the Andamans, with a reef garden of hard and soft corals, sea fans, clownfish, sea turtles, and reef sharks. Spend 2–3 hours in the water or on the pristine beach. Afternoon ferry to Neil Island (1 hr) — a smaller, quieter, more laid-back island with a distinctly village character and some of the Andamans' most beautiful natural rock formations. Overnight in Neil Island.
Neil Island rewards the unhurried. Morning visit to Laxmanpur Beach for a dramatic natural rock arch (Howrah Bridge) at low tide — one of the Andamans' most photographed natural monuments. Glass-bottom boat ride over Neil Island's spectacular coral gardens. Bicycle ride around the island past paddy fields, betel nut plantations, and small Tamil and Bengali fishing communities. Return to Port Blair by ferry in the evening. Overnight in Port Blair.
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Veer Savarkar Airport for your flight back to the mainland. The Andamans leave a mark: in the quality of the underwater light, in the specific shade of blue that exists nowhere else, and in the rare, deep quiet of islands that still feel genuinely remote. Come back soon.
Indian nationals do not need any permit for Port Blair, Havelock, or Neil Island. A Restricted Area Permit (RAP) is required for Baratang Island (Limestone Caves) and some tribal-area islands, which we arrange as part of extended itineraries. The Nicobar Islands are restricted to civilians.
October to May is the ideal time to visit the Andamans. The sea is calm, visibility for scuba diving and snorkelling is excellent, and all ferry services run smoothly. November to February is peak season. June to September brings monsoon conditions with rough seas, heavy rains, and many boat services suspended.
Yes. The Andaman Sea is one of India's best beginner dive destinations. First-time dives (Discover Scuba Diving) are conducted in calm, warm, shallow water with a certified instructor in a 1:2 ratio. No prior experience or certification is required. The underwater world of the Andamans is extraordinary — this experience changes most first-timers' lives.
Yes, all major islands (Port Blair, Havelock, Neil Island) have good vegetarian options. Port Blair has several South Indian and North Indian vegetarian restaurants. Havelock and Neil Island have a growing range of vegetarian and vegan-friendly cafes. We recommend informing us in advance to assist with meal planning at remote resorts.
