Vietnam is a country that surprises, seduces, and stays with you. From the chaos and charm of Hanoi’s ancient Old Quarter to the serene magic of Ha Long Bay’s UNESCO-listed limestone islands; from the perfectly preserved lantern-lit streets of Hoi An to the wartime stories of Ho Chi Minh City and the waterways of the Mekong Delta — Vietnam offers a depth and variety of experience that few countries can match.

Our Vietnam Complete Tour Package — 8 Nights 9 Days — is designed for Indian travellers who want to truly understand this extraordinary country, not just skim its surface. You’ll drift through Ha Long Bay on an overnight wooden junk, watching the karst towers emerge from morning mist. You’ll walk the ancient streets of Hoi An as paper lanterns glow golden on the Thu Bon River. You’ll crouch through the Cu Chi Tunnels and emerge with a new perspective on human ingenuity and resilience. You’ll eat your way through the country — Pho in Hanoi, Banh Mi in Hoi An, broken rice in Saigon.

This Vietnam tour package from India includes domestic flights, overnight Ha Long Bay cruise, all guided city tours, a cooking class, and carefully selected 4-star hotels — making your Vietnamese adventure seamless and deeply rewarding.

Day 1 – Arrive in Hanoi | City of a Thousand Years

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi. Transfer to your hotel in Hanoi's atmospheric Old Quarter — a maze of 36 ancient merchant streets each historically associated with a specific trade. Explore on foot — savour a bowl of steaming Pho at a street-side stall, sip Vietnamese egg coffee in a Hang Gai rooftop cafe, and watch Hanoi life unfold at Hoan Kiem Lake. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 – Hanoi City Tour | History, Heritage & Temples

After breakfast, begin Hanoi's cultural highlights. Visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum complex, the Presidential Palace, and Uncle Ho's stilt house. Explore the Temple of Literature — Vietnam's first university (1070 AD) — and the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology for a fascinating overview of the country's 54 ethnic groups. Afternoon at the One Pillar Pagoda and a walking tour of the Old Quarter. Evening: Traditional Water Puppet Show on Hoan Kiem Lake. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3 & 4 – Ha Long Bay Overnight Cruise | UNESCO Wonder

Board your deluxe wooden junk boat at Ha Long Bay pier (3.5 hrs from Hanoi). Set sail through 1,600+ limestone karsts and emerald islets as the iconic UNESCO World Heritage landscape unfolds around you. Kayak through hidden lagoons and cave arches, swim off a pristine beach, explore the dazzling Thien Cung Cave by torchlight, and enjoy a sunset cocktail on the bow of your cruise boat. Savour a freshly prepared seafood dinner onboard as the stars reflect off the calm bay. Wake the next morning to mist and silence on the water before sailing back to port. Overnight on boat.

Day 5 – Hanoi to Hoi An | Ancient Town on the River

Return to Hanoi after breakfast and fly to Da Nang (approx. 1.5 hrs). Transfer to Hoi An (30 mins) — a perfectly preserved 15th-century trading port on the Thu Bon River. Check in to your boutique hotel. Afternoon: stroll the UNESCO-listed Ancient Town with its Yellow Chinese merchant houses, Japanese Covered Bridge, colourful tailor shops, and hundreds of vibrant silk lanterns. As dusk falls, the town transforms into a magical lantern-lit landscape — pure magic. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6 – Hoi An & Hue Day Trip

Morning cycling tour through Hoi An's paddy fields and fishing villages to a traditional farm. Return to town for a Hoi An cooking class — learn to make Cao Lau noodles, White Rose dumplings, and Banh Mi. Afternoon drive to Hue (3 hrs) via the stunning Hai Van Pass coastal road with panoramic ocean views. Visit Hue's Imperial Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda on the Perfume River, and the tomb of Emperor Minh Mang. Return to Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7 – My Son Ruins & Flight to Ho Chi Minh City

Morning visit to the My Son Sanctuary — a UNESCO-listed complex of Hindu temple ruins built by the ancient Cham civilisation between the 4th and 13th centuries. A striking reminder of India's cultural reach across ancient Southeast Asia. Return to Da Nang for your afternoon flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Check in and explore the vibrant Ben Thanh Market for street food, souvenirs, and the frenetic energy of Vietnam's largest city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 8 – Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta | History & Village Life

Morning: Cu Chi Tunnels — crawl through the remarkably preserved underground tunnel network (250 km!) used by Viet Cong guerrillas during the Vietnam War. A sobering, fascinating piece of history. Afternoon: Mekong Delta boat tour — drift through narrow waterways, visit floating markets, sample tropical fruits directly from the orchard, and stop at a local rice paper and coconut candy workshop. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for a farewell Vietnamese dinner. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 9 – Departure from Saigon | Vietnam Stays with You

After breakfast, check out from your Saigon hotel and transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your flight back to India. Vietnam is a country that changes you — its history, its resilience, its beauty, and the warmth of its people. You'll carry it with you. Xin chào and farewell!

Do Indians need a visa for Vietnam?

Yes, Indian passport holders require a Vietnam e-Visa (available online at evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn). The e-Visa costs USD 25 and is valid for 90 days. Processing time is 3 working days. Sunsilk Holidays guides you through the application process.

What is the best time to visit Vietnam from India?

Vietnam is a long, narrow country, so weather varies by region. February to April is ideal for the entire country. December to February is best for the south (Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta). September to November brings the best weather to Ha Long Bay and Northern Vietnam. Hoi An can flood in October–November.

Is the Ha Long Bay cruise worth it?

Absolutely. Ha Long Bay is one of the most visually spectacular natural wonders in Asia. An overnight cruise (versus a day trip) allows you to kayak, swim, explore caves, and watch the ethereal sunrise on the bay — an experience that simply cannot be replicated in a few hours. We include a deluxe cruise with private cabins and excellent food.

Is Vietnamese food suitable for Indian vegetarians?

Vietnamese cuisine relies heavily on seafood, pork, and chicken. However, vegetarian options (especially tofu and vegetable dishes) are increasingly available at restaurants catering to tourists. We recommend informing our team in advance so we can pre-arrange vegetarian-friendly meals and cooking class modifications.
